When and where will Chubby Run be held?

Chubby Run will be held on 26 November 2017 at Citraland, Surabaya.

What are the race categories?

There're 5k and kids dash 1k categories.

What is kids dash?

Kids Dash as the name suggests is for kids between the age of 4 and 12 and is designed to encourage kids to participate in a running event and take up the sport while they are young.

The kids will be split into two groups: 4 to 8 and 9 to 12 years olds.

Is there an age limit for taking part?

For 5k, participants must be at least 7 years of age on race day. For kids dash, participants must be between 4 and 12 years of age on race day.

All participants under the age of 12 must obtain parental consent in order to register and participate in the race.

Do I have to be Indonesian to register?

No, everyone aged 4 and above are most welcome to join.

Is there prize money for the winners?

The organiser has prepared some prize money for the winners.

Chubby Run is a charity event to raise funds for Yayasan Abdi Kasih. Your donation is being allocated to helping Ibu Liliek Sulistyowati and her Foundation to continue supporting HIV/AIDS patients.

How can I register to the race?

You can register to the race online at

If you don't have a WeeRun account, you can register and activate your account first. Alternatively you can login using your Google, Facebook, Twitter or Microsoft account.

Alternatively, you can register offline by contact us via WhatsApp +62 81330733073 or +62 81553074888 to fill up the registration form and transfer the payment to an appointed BCA account.

Do I need WeeRun account to register?

No, you can login using your Google, Facebook, Twitter or Microsoft account as well.

How do I know if I have been registered and my payment has been verified?

When your registration is successful, you'll get a confirmation on the screen. A confirmation email will also be sent to the email address that you provide during registration. Please make sure you enter the correct email address.

You can also check at to see if your name is listed. There is also a payment status column to see if your payment has been verified.

Confirmation for offline registrations can take up to 3 days after registration.

Why haven't I received an email confirmation?

There are three possibilities if you have not received an email confirmation.

  1. The confirmation email went to the junk mail/spam folder
  2. There was a problem with the mail server
  3. Confirmation for offline registrations can take up to 7 days to send

For online registrations, if no email confirmation is received with one hour of successful transaction, please let us know at

How can we register as a group or team? Can I register other people?

Yes, one email address can be used to register up to five participants. Please note however that the race pack will also have to be collected as a group.

What are the payment modes for the registration?

If you register online, you can pay by credit card or Alto and Prima network of ATMs and bank transfer.

If you register offline, you can pay by cash or transfer to an appointed BCA account.

Is the online registration system secure?

Yes, our registration site is SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) coded, a security protocol which is used and reflected by HTTP Secure (https) in the website address to represent a secure connection.

When is registration open?

The registration will be open from 15 September 2017 and will be closed at midnight on 12 November 2017 or may be closed earlier if the event limit has been reached.

Can I register on the day?

No you can't. You have to register before the registration closes.

Are there early bird prices?

Yes, early bird prices are above and and they close at midnight on 31 October 2017, or while slots last; whichever is earlier.

What is included with the registration fee?

Should I choose not to participate after I have registered for the event, can I withdraw?

Yes, however no refund will be given, but you are still entitled to collect your race pack.

Is it still possible to make changes to the data that I have provided after registration?

You can login and make changes to most of your personal details. Your selected race category, email, first and last names however cannot be changed. Data related to the race like tee sizes and bib name can be changed by dropping us an email at

What should I do if I have accidentally deleted my confirmation email?

Please let us know at and we'll resend the confirmation slip to the email address you provided.

When and where can I collect my race pack?

All race participants must collect their race packs during the race pack collection days that will be announced later.

Documents you need to bring during the race pace collection:

  • Original KTP/SIM/passport/KITAS
  • Printout of confirmation email

All participants who are below the age of 12 years are required to submit a fully completed consent form signed by the participant's parent or legal guardian.

Is it mandatory to pick up my race pack?

Yes, as the race pack includes Chubby Run race tee and your BIB number. The BIB number has to be worn during the race.

Can someone else pick up my race pack on my behalf?

Yes, you can have someone else pick up your race pack on your behalf. Your proxy needs to bring your race pack collection form and a copy of your KTP/SIM/passport/KITAS.

Is it possible to collect my race pack on the race day?

No, the race pack must be collected according to the schedule that will be published.

Do I need to register on race day?

No, but please be ready to race with your bib number about 45 minutes before the start time.

What time does the running start?

The start and cut-off times are below, but it's best if you arrive 45 minutes before the start of the race. That way you can use any services you require (like the bag deposit and the toilet), and you'll still be in time to soak up te atmosphere of the start line.

Can I leave my bags somewhere on the event day?

Baggage deposit will be made available to all participants. Participants are advised to arrive earlier to deposit their bags to avoid delays.

While maximum care and security will be enforced, the organisers will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items or delays in retrieving bags.

Will there be toilets available?

Yes, there are toilets at the start and finish line.

Is there food for sale at the finish line?

Yes, we'll have many food outlets in the finish area. Whatever your mood you can grab breakfast!

What should I eat before the race?

The best thing to have before the race is a high carbohydrate meal and plenty of water or a sports drink. 

Is it mandatory to wear the bib number?

Yes, it is mandatory for participants to wear the bib number.

If the bib number is not worn, you will not be entitled to finisher medal.

Do I need to return the bib number upon completion of the race?

No, the bib number is disposable or you can bring it home as a souvenir.

What is the race route?

The race route will be announced soon.

What are the measurements of the Chubby Run tee?

You can check the tee sizes here.

What should I wear on event day?

Your Chubby Run tee of course! But if you prefer you can wear your favourite running gear. Make sure your walking/running shoes fit well (and you've worn them before to make sure they are comfy). And bring a hat and sunscreen to slip, slop, slap.

What if the Chubby Run tee does not fit me? Can I exchange for a different size?

You are advised to refer to the sizing chart prior to registering. Information of sizing chart is available on the registration page. Kindly note that requests for changes in sizes will not be entertained.

Will there be pacers at the event?

There will be no pacers at this year's race.

What drinks will be available for participants?

Isotonic and water will be available at the hydration points on the course and refreshment tents at the finish area.

Are walkers permitted to participate in the Chubby Run?

Yes, should you wish to walk during the race, kindly keep to the left side of the route to allow faster competitors to pass. However, please make sure you finish the race within the cut-off time.

May I bring my pet with me for the Race?

No, pets are strictly not allowed at the event site.

Will participants be allowed to use bikes, skates or strollers during race on the race route?

No, participants may not use or otherwise have bikes, skates or strollers on the race course.

How many participants are expected at this year's Race?

Approximately 1,500 runners and 500 kids are anticipated to participate at this year's race.

How do I get to the race site?

You can reach the race site by means of private vehicles and public transport.

Will there be road closures?

Yes, there will be some road closures.

Will there be parking facilities at the race area?

Parking facilities will be advised at a later date.
